- The total transmitter output power per band for any high power entry
in any category is either 1500 Watts PEP or the maximum allowable power
level established by the national licensing authority of your country,
whichever is lower. All power levels are measured by PEP (Peak Envelope Power)
- (A) Operate no more than 16 hours.
- (B) The eight hours of off time must be taken in no more than two blocks.
(Example: You could take two (2)four (4) hour breaks, or one (1) eight (8) hour break.)
- Run Single Transmitter/ Single Operator.
- Single Operator: One person performs all operating and logging functions.
As of 12/01/2002 the use of spotting nets (operating arrangements involving
assistance through DX-alerting nets, etc.) is now permitted. Single operator
stations are allowed only one transmitted signal at any given time.
- Run Single Transmitter/ Multi Operator.
- Multi Operator: More than one person operates, checks
for duplicates, keeps the log, etc. Limited to 6 band changes (maximum) in any
clock hour. Multi operator stations are allowed only one transmitted signal at
any given time.
- Multi Ops. who submit scores showing only one
operator will be treated as a Single Op. Tip: put names of other operators
in the Soap Box area.
- Multi Ops. A certificate will be mailed out to the Club Station, or Team
Coordinator but not to all the individual operators.
Please supply all operator call signs and their respective first names for
the certificate.

The following amateur bands 160, 80, 40, 20, 15 & 10 Meters are permissible. The use of the WARC bands (12, 17 and 30 Meter Bands) are NOT permitted in the spirit of
the gentleman's agreement that there be no contesting on the WARC bands.
**Note: The use of 160 Meters for this contest has been added as of 20-Aug-06.** |
Points: |
QSO Points: Count (1) one point for each completed QSO (anyone can work anyone).
A station may be worked once per band for QSO credit (but not for additional
multipliers).
Multiplier: Count only once (not once per band), each US State (except KH6 and KL7)
plus the District of Columbia (DC), each Canadian province/territories: NB (VE1, 9), NS
(VE1), QC (VE2), ON (VE3), MB (VE4), SK (VE5), AB (VE6), BC (VE7), NT (VE8), NF (VO1),
LB (VO2), NU (VY0), YT (VY1), PEI (VY2) and each DXCC country. KH6 and KL7 count as
separate DXCC entities. The US and Canada do not count as DXCC countries.

For Ham's/SWL's with no internet connection that wish to submit a "CHECK-LOG" should mail your logs to my QTH.
All logs must be received no later than
31st December 2013 in order to be valid.
Decisions of the TARA Mêlée Committee are final. |
OLCAR: |
1st, 2nd and 3rd in each category.
( for certificate; must
have at least 5 QSO's) Top SWL score.
All scores except "SWL" will be
automatically entered into the Tour'ney.
The awards for the Mêlée are now part of our OLCAR system. |
